Therapeutic Actions:

• Gentle anti-diuretic
• Genito-urinary tonic and astringent
• Hypoglycemic
• Mild astringent
• Mild bitter tonic

Clinical Indications:

• Cholecystitis
• Cholelithiasis
• Gout
• Peptic ulcers
• Psoriatic arthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Stress Incontinence
• Ulcerative colitis
• Cirrhosis of the liver
• Coagulation of the blood
• Enuresis
• GI disorders by toning mucous membranes, improving their secretion and absorption
• Gingivitis
• Hypochlorhydria
• Irritation of the urinary tract
• Menorrhagia

Contraindications:

• May produce photodermatitis in individuals sensitive to ultraviolet light due to furanocoumarins

Drug/Nutrient Interaction:

• Insulin levels should be monitored due to the hypoglycemic activity
