Clinical Indications:
Contraindications:
- Hypertension due to the effect on the adrendal glands

Drug/Nutrient Interaction:
- Enhances monomycin and kanamycin efficacy in treating Shigella dysentery and Proteus entercolitis
- Inhibits breakdown of hexobarbital in animal studies
- Insulin should be monitored due to the hypoglycemic activity
