Clinical Indications:
Contraindications:
- Pregnancy due to the uterine stimulating effects of the alkaloid cryptopine
Drug/Nutrient Interaction:
- May enhance monoamine oxidase inhibitors due to inhibition of MAO-B by hydroalcoholic extracts
- Tincture enhances the hypnotic effect of pentabarbital due to the alkaloids
