Proteus vulgaris
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Salmonella
Shigella (3 strains)
Staph aureus
Streptococcus pyogenes
Antifungal
Antiseptic
Antiviral to both RNA and DNA viruses
Expectorant
Clinical Indications:
- Bronchitis
- Viral infections, especially Epstein Barr virus, condlyloma
and herpes simplex virus
- Gastrointestinal infections
- Genitourinary infections
Contraindications:
- Can cause photodermatitis in sensitive individuals
- Pregnancy
Drug/Nutrient Interaction:
- Coumarins found in Lomatium may may exacerbate the effect of other blood thinning agents

Toxicity:
- Ingestion of the fresh plant root and products has may produce a skin rash in some individuals that disappears when discontinued
