Therapeutic Actions:

• Antispasmodic
• Astringent
• Expectorant
• Nervine
• Uterine tonic

Clinical Indications:

• Bronchitis with profuse expectoration
• Uterine fibroid
• External ulcers - use as a poultice or ointment
• Menorrhagia
• Metorrhagia
• Uterine hemorrhage

Contraindications:

• Pregnancy due to the emmenagogue effect
